Anonymity
How we protect your privacy
Our platform is designed with privacy in mind. We believe in enabling open discussion while protecting user privacy through technical measures and thoughtful design.
Anonymity System
Default Anonymous Posting
By default, all posts and comments are anonymous. You don't need an account to participate. Our platform is designed to foster open discussions while maintaining user privacy.
Anonymous Pseudonyms
You can optionally use a tripcode to maintain a consistent identity across posts without registration, while staying completely anonymous.
Tripcodes
What is a Tripcode?
A tripcode is a way to prove your identity without an account. It's a unique identifier generated from a password. Format: name#password → displays as name!tripcode.
How to Use
When posting, enter your name in the format name#password. Example: alice#secret → displays as alice!Xj7Hk2. The tripcode (after !) is always the same for the same name#password combination.
Security Note
Choose a strong password for your tripcode. While the hash is one-way, weak passwords could be guessed. Don't use tripcodes for sensitive identity verification.
IP Anonymization
IP Hashing
IP addresses are never stored in plain text. They are hashed using a secure algorithm with a salt, making it impossible to recover the original IP.
Moderation Use
Hashed IPs are only used for essential moderation: preventing spam and enforcing bans when necessary. Moderators cannot see your IP address.
Anti-Abuse Measures
Cloudflare Turnstile
We use Turnstile for bot prevention.
Rate Limiting
Posts are rate-limited based on hashed IPs to prevent spam while maintaining anonymity. Limits are reasonable for normal use.
Content Moderation
Content is moderated based on our rules, not user identity. Moderators can only see what regular users see, plus the tools necessary to remove rule-breaking content.
