Can a provider change the address of your ENS subdomain?

So I see Uniswap can give you a yourname.uni.eth name, which is the first I’ve learned of an addressing system on the ethereum chain. Pretty cool. I know it’s represented with a smart contract- but I think you can change the address of an ENS entry… so does that mean if Uniswap was compromised they could change the attached address since they “own” the .uni subdomain?

doesnt uniswap have some governance control over the subdomain? Or is it literally just the ability to mint new subdomains on its subdomain? ala CA cert signing
