Curator

I have an idea of creating a website where users can curate websites. Others can see curations.
Later recommendation engines can be added to make like youtube but for websites.
As a start I just used Hacker News links as starting point. Here is the website: https://curator.pages.dev/

I want to know the potential of building such a website.
Let's discuss...

Artifact by Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger is similar idea. But I only news articles in that. My idea include all kind of websites like all kind of videos in youtube.

To "curate" something means that you select some elements from a group following some rules, or with specific requirements in mind.

Like for example to highlight them. Think of a top 10 comedy movies list. There's plenty of movies, but this is what someone considers the 10 best ones.

In this post, it means that users can create their own selections of websites that they consider valuable or useful.

For instance someone could create a collection of resources for web development or a list of curious unique websites

There's some overlap with things like ProductHunt and regular link aggregators (orangenseite, reddlt)

Check out linklonk.com. it's link sharing, backed by rss feeds
