are you able to do all the things?

I want to do so much in life
Like

Learn music instrument,
Start small business
Start some social movement
Work out daily
Learn cooking
Be more spiritual

And many more

But I've so many responsibilities to take care of like
9hrs night shift job
Less sleep and less quality sleep
Less social interactions
1 year salary as debts., rotating funds,
Spending time with kids, spouse, Etc

How about you all? Are you able to manage the life challenges and also do the things you want to do?

I procrastinate all day. I am lucky I still have some time to figure out my future but I am worried that I am throwing it all away.

I think the best approach is as with every project - don't try to tackle it at once (because it can be scary and discouraging) but cut it into smaller chunks.

So maybe try to learn cooking at first. This will be your first project ;) Cut it into smaller pieces and just start doing.

i’m also spreading out too thin. i met a friend recently who works for the hottest investment firm in town. he used to be a maths olympic in high school. all he does is work, visit family, and play video games. my take away from meeting him is that i’m spread way too thin and i’m trying to not only “do” a lot of things but, in my heart, i want to be exceptional at 100 things. i realise now that this desire comes out of a feeling that i’m not enough and need to be exceptional in many areas to deserve attention/love.

for the last few days i took things one by one, i cut down on my interests and will only focus on one thing at a time and not worry about what others think of me. i’m gonna try to be happy

Do a little bit every day, even if it's only 30 minutes. Every bit counts.

Even if it 5 minutes or 30 seconds. Still something. Better than nothing.

I get bent out of shape over this fairly often. Two thoughts tend to help me:

The first is SMBC's 11 lives comic (https://www.smbc-comics.com/comic/2012-09-02). It helps take the pressure off, and feel better about leaving some goals for later.

The second: When I tackle a nascent interest, I have grand visions of being the best at it, and that's just setting myself up for failure. The people who are the best at X are usually only doing X. For like, several decades. By contrast, only aiming to be above the median in lots of things is a much more manageable goal (statistically speaking, you're probably already above the median at about half the things you do without even trying!), gets me most of what I'm trying to accomplish, and after a while they tend to build off of one another (e.g. getting pretty good at drawing gives you a headstart when you try to get pretty good at painting). You can think of this either as Pareto principle (80% of the work takes 20% of the time) or, in the context of the SMBC comic, giving yourself more "lifetimes."

Best of luck, I'm rooting for you.

This has changed my perspective. I have been procrastinating for so long, but I die in two years and need to make the most of my life that I have.

These mana resource in real life. It's call d interest. You get interest from other people admiring what you do or from other activities that boost it. It gets complicated intertwined to constantly get interest.

This has been very inspirational to read. If I was to add something, it would be not to compare yourself with others. Rather find little joys in the extent of the activity you can do already. This would require changing your expectations of what is greatness in the activity and targeting a level around your own abilities, maybe a little bit higher at times, a little bit lower at times. This way you don't always have a cognitive dissonance that you're not where you're supposed to be. When you set the bar around your own level, sometimes you feel a little bit of a challenge that motivates you to work harder and sometimes you feel a little bit of glory.

lowkey spreading yourself waaaay too thin imo. I too have many interests but I think you should tackle one at a time by priority. If you still want to do it all then maybe allocate a day for each thing YOU WANT TO LEARN. maybe say if you want to learn a music instrument and learn how to cook you don't do them at the same day but each day tackle one thing. Let's say monday you learn cooking, the next day you tackle the instrument. Heck if you wake up the day after and still feel like learning the instrument then do that. Don't force yourself to stick to the schedule IF you can make this work. Also when it comes to learning things I feel this method is good because spacing things out is actually a great tip to truly learn and retain information. There are many other tricks but there are plenty of resources online that teach you how to learn things effectively. For workouts I recommend starting out with no more than 30 mins. But I also know that some days are crap so try setting the duration in a 3 tier. 1) Perfect me: 45-1h workout at least 5 days a week. 2) Most likely me: 30 mins at least 5 days a week. 3) Sht me (you know.. one of THOSE days.) aim for 10-15 of INTENSE workout every other day at least. This will accumulate I promise. Don't put yourself down if you are in a "Sht Me" phase for very long. It beats doing nothing imo. I can't help you on these "Start small business
Start some social movement" as I know nothing about that. For spirituality I'd say start with meditation it's honestly great. 5-to-30 mins is good. don't sweat it.
