is it good or is it just good because most of the rest is shit? does it stand up to cronenbergian stuff?

In my mind it was OK. Usually not one for horror, so some scenes were worse than others. The ending was a bit over the top and felt like it made the earlier parts of the movie less serious too. It's a bit satirical, but maybe in the last 1/4 of the movie it kind of goes very hard into that and goes into the surreal.
Overall maybe I'd rate it 7.6/10

It's ok. I mean, it definitely keep you glued to the screen all the way and it'll keep you thinking about the movie for some time after you watched it. So, yeah. It's worth it.

It's purposefully campy, simplistic, and pretty predictable if you're familiar with The Twilight Zone or Black Mirror. But then it just... keeps going and going, and the ending is insane. I highly recommend. It's not every day you see a horror movie nominated under "Musical or Comedy" but Demi Moore was and won the Golden Globe for Best Actress.
