Frogposting and 'jaks

You're probably going to need to make a decision in the near future about what to do with low content posts that some people like to make.

I know on 4chan there's a lot of posts that follow the format of stupid or obvious question with a frog meme attached. On one hand, yeah activity is nice. But it might make this site appear to be yet another alt-chan.

I'm not familiar with exactly how it works in 4chan, but is it still an issue with good moderation of each board?

As I see it, if some boards are for shitposting, that shouldn't affect serious discussions as long as it's contained there

Yes it shouldn't be a big deal as long as its kept on the fun boards.

I really agree with this, as I enjoy this site for thoughtful discussion.

Maybe I can add a moderator status for some? Give you the possibility to ban or something?
I'm open to your suggestions and I'm thinking about how best to improve this platform :)

Thanks for your messages

The site will be more moderators as it grows.
But I'd be interested in hearing what the guidelines would be for them and what mechanisms would be put in place so they don't abuse their power.

So far the rules aren't very specific, and it's working fine, but the more people involved the more different interpretations a same rule could have.

Also, are there backups or ways to roll back the site? It should be good to have that implemented just in case

I've been thinking of how to create a 4chan successor for a long time, and I'm really happy to see this site. Thank you for making it!

I have noticed a very large divide on this website. There are people having serious discussions and giving good advice, and there are people using it to make filler posts. I really hope this website grows in the direction of discussion, not empty posts for no reason.

I think there's a place in the market for an ephemeral anonymous discussion board with an emphasis on quality.

There's little point in trying to compete in the same space with 4chan or sharty or even twitter. They serve their purpose as freeze peach entertainment shitpost sites. Their ownership seems happy with it.

But I think a lot of people are probably looking for a place where more earnest discussion can happen.

I do not know much about 4Chan, but from what I have heard, I want to avoid this website turning into it. I have always loved the forum format that this website has and 4Chan seems to lack, as well as the focus on quality here. The problem is how to cultivate that focus, as people will always see anonymous posting websites as an easy way to post filler for reactions.
