A reminder

A big number of platforms use dark patterns to keep you in them as much as possible and get interactions.Anger and disgust are the two emotions that engage your brain the most and get the most clicks.

If you're in this platform perhaps you're looking for something different. So remember that right now it's your choice to decide what and who you give your attention to

Don't reward someone who's only goal is to make you angry, don't argue for the sake of arguing, remember there's a person on the other side and use the limited time you have in a day to do something you consider valuable.

Since I'm coming here regularly, I'm trying to remind myself of this. Though I'd share it here

you get what you measure. if people are using the internet as an emotional outlet and that is the marketable product that the platforms provide, and the user consumes, what is immoral about rage on the internet? better cyber rage than meat rage. and anyway, trolls are easy to ignore. if you're baited by bait it's ok to blame the fisher but its the fish who suffers.

when you say 'the most clicks' what do you mean? i'm sure love or eroticism get more clicks ultimately. aren't all emotional responses potentially addictive and isnt it this addictiveness that the dark platforms are relying on reinforcing and exploiting? in this context, changing platforms is just like changing drug dealers. sure, the new dealer appreciates the business, but drug dealers aren't friends.
