Continuing thread from North American Union thoughts?
healthcare is a trivial problem. the US system is fubar due to political division. enlarging the union dilutes the division. clearly, national service should compete with private service. monopoly by either is abusive.

This is why USAians are so fucked, when they don't even realize that this is a "Poor VS Rich" issue, and the rich has successfully made the common folk think this is a political division... It's funny to see from the outside, but I do admit feeling a bit sad for the folks who live there, it's not really there fault yet they're stuck in that world :/

there is no poor vs rich involved here. in the US, we socialize healthcare costs, but healthcare service is essentially delivered entirely privately, outside of the department of veterans affairs, or trauma care within the department of defense. we dont chage defense insurance but we do charge health insurance. obviously what the US needs is a healthcare version of an army. this volunteer army of contract doctors should be the public option. the US doesn't have a money problem in healthcare at all (rich vs poor is meaningless here except that the rich always suffer less generally). the US has a supply shortage problem in healthcare. add healthcare like we add defense. make doctors out of enlisted and commissioned volunteers.

It's really sad you don't realize this. One would have think the recent assassination would at least made people read a bit more, but sadly not.

Obviously what the US needs is to look at any other Western country, and copy their healthcare. It really is that simple. Remove the massive amount of gains shareholders and executives can earn by letting people be sick, and you'll find the system fixing itself really quickly.

Of course, there are massive misinformation campaigns out there trying to get people to focus on any other alternative, something you seem to have fallen for as well, and since they have massive pockets, it seems they're succeeding hard.
